Is it possible to throw out the old ones. How to get rid of unnecessary things? Donate unwanted items

We continue to put things in order together with the author of the book Happy at Home. Last time we discussed, and force yourself to throw out the unnecessary. Today, here is a list of things that are usually the first to be thrown away.

When I know exactly where to find what I need, and can easily put a letter in a folder and a towel on a shelf, I get a pleasant (if illusory) feeling of complete control over my life. Getting rid of junk makes life easier. When a friend says, “I sorted through our closets, and it seems to me that I lost five kilos,” I know exactly how she feels.

junk formula

In progress cleaning using the “shelf by shelf” method, I was able to derive a formula for the appearance of trash in the house. It became easy for me to identify and eliminate problematic items. Here is a rough list of the first things to leave your home.

  • "Cute" kitchen utensils that work no one knows how.
  • Broken things. Well, why can't we admit that the thing is broken - a burnt toaster, a cracked vase, three umbrellas with holes in them, etc.?
  • Things that seem potentially useful but are not being used are an oversized water container or a complex corkscrew. Or duplicates - well, how many glass jars we need?
  • Things you want to save. Well, why do you need a pretty shower gel if you never use it? Why "save" the bright tin trays inherited from the grandmother? A friend once gloomily confessed to me: “I saved expensive truffle oil for so long that it went bad.” After spending money, use what you bought, and then throw it away.
  • Items that should have been used but were not used due to reluctance or laziness. A few years ago I bought a digital voice recorder - I was going to do an interview. But something did not work out, and the recorder was not useful. And the expensive exercise equipment my girlfriends bought that gather dust and take up space?..
  • Things that should have been thrown away a long time ago. Fortunately, there was no place in our apartment to store such things: no attic, no pantry, no utility room - only part of the basement, where we kept Christmas tree decorations, spare filters for the air conditioner and several high chairs. We didn't even have a garage, which many people use as a home storage. According to the Department of Energy, 25% of Americans with two-car garages don't park their cars at all.
  • Items that ended up in the house according to the "grandmother's right". Grandmothers always have their own rules about what our children Eliza and Elinor need. My mother-in-law never buys anything new for herself, but she gives the girls solar-powered prisms, sets of miniature colored pencils, and all that. All these things are funny, but gradually the apartment becomes littered with them.
  • Things we never used. It's time to get rid of the rice cooker I gave my husband for his birthday. He loves to cook, but he continues to cook rice in an old pot.

Throw away or organize?

Accumulation is expensive in every way. Possession takes time, space and energy. And sometime you will have to decide how to get rid of this property.

I told a friend about my shelf-by-shelf approach.

“I know that feeling,” she nodded. My apartment is full of rubbish. (True. I know for sure that she has real warehouses in three states: in the city where she grew up, where her grandmother lived, and another 40 minutes from her apartment.)

“I need to deal with all this, too,” added a friend.

- No, just don't get it! I exclaimed. "Don't think about organizing this junk!"

And then I stopped. I didn't mean to be rude to my friend.

- What are you talking about? she wondered. You saw my apartment. I really need to organize everything properly.

“Well,” I said carefully, “try to get rid of everything unnecessary first. And then you don't have to organize.

- Like this? my friend asked suspiciously.

- Unnecessary papers can be thrown away, and not put in folders. Give the clothes you never wear to charitable organization, and you will not need to look for a place in the closet for it!

“No, I use almost everything,” the friend objected. I don't have to throw away much. I just need to buy a few things to better organize everything.

I couldn't find anything to say. I noticed that people experiencing the most big problems with junk, most often they buy intricate hangers, furniture with convenient drawers and colored plastic boxes. The organization of property can be very useful - if, of course, it streamlines the necessary, and does not contribute to the accumulation of junk.

As I dismantled shelf after shelf, I mentally answered a lot of questions. Do we use these things? Do we love them? And I felt a big difference between what we do not use and useless. Eliza no longer wears her animal rubber stamps, and I don't wear the bright vintage hats my mom gave me. We have a lot of things that are dear to us that we do not use. I wanted my home to be filled with things that had a symbolic and sentimental value, not just a practical one. Unlike a broken crepe maker, they always have a place in my house.

I also quite easily part with things, if a thing has not been touched for some long time, then you can part with it without problems, which means it is not needed.

Once every half a year I get rid of things, etc. (usually I endure to trash cans in bags where the size of shoes / clothes is written) they are quickly taken away. Well, if things are good, then you can give them through ads for juice or rubles for 100 (if there are a lot of things) people also take them. But damn it's so pitiful to part with every little thing)))))))))))) it seems to me - from this you can do something, then cut it off there to sew / alter)))))))))))) ) I noticed one thing --- when I unload it becomes easier to breathe NOOOO immediately thinking in my head --- well, now you can buy something else, the place is free!))))))))))))))) And more. ....... maniacal spontaneous purchases are all the fucking world of consumption... We are forced to throw away things (although they will serve us for a long time) and buy more and more..... Be vigilant comrades!!! It's hard but... hold on!

16.10.2016 12:02:16, elit.tigra1

I myself easily part with unnecessary, in my opinion, things, but my husband does not. In his opinion, everything is useful. We agreed that I put the unnecessary in a box and on the balcony for six months, if during this period they are not in demand, then we get rid of them.

My friend says that if she doesn't use something for a year, then it's time to throw it away)

oh, don’t feed me bread, let me throw away junk stuff)) however, sometimes after that exactly what was lying around all the time turns out to be a very necessary thing)))))

I sort through all things and papers from time to time. I throw something away almost every time. I don't like hoarding rubbish.

SCHOOL WITHOUT MATHEMATICS Livanov suggested taking the basic exam in mathematics after the tenth grade. Behind this "innocent" proposal (see [link-1]) is an indirect recognition of the failure of the experiment with the division of the Unified State Examination in mathematics into two levels. Teachers of "ordinary" schools, focusing on preparing graduates for basic USE, “forgot” about the profile exam, which led to a landslide decrease in its average scores (see [link-2]). It looks like the Ministry of Education has taken care to release the teachers...

I agree that the school should be separated from passing the exam. Schools should teach, not coach. Examinations in general should become a matter of voluntary and independent.

And this idea seems to me extremely reasonable. It is quite possible to complete a school mathematics course in 10 years, and in the 11th grade, devote more time to core subjects. Again, for those who did not cope with the basic exam, it is possible to organize separate groups in the 11th grade, where instead of higher mathematics will engage in repetition, and give children the opportunity to retake the exam in a year.

All people are divided into two groups: those who like to accumulate old things, even if they do not use them, and those who throw them away as unnecessary. What type are you? If you like to collect old trash, you should probably reconsider your attitude to things. No, this shiny iPhone box will never be useful to you, so you should not carefully store it somewhere in the depths of your closet. And no, you will never skim past Cosmo issues. Just throw them away without regret. Clear your house of unnecessary things, even if you once loved them very much. So which item should you throw away immediately?

Wire hangers

Cheap wire hangers that appear in your house (from the dry cleaners, or with new clothes) are bad for the condition of your belongings. They deform the fabric and leave traces of rust. Buy felt, wood, or hard plastic hangers instead.

worn boots

Are your favorite shoes worn out? Throw them away. Still in good condition, but you haven't worn them in a long time? Give to those who really need them.

Empty bottles of alcohol

Are you no longer in college? Nothing to collect empty bottles from alcohol, if you have not lived in a hostel for a long time.

Clothes you don't wear

Give it to charity. A person less fortunate than you might wear it. The same applies to children's clothing and fancy dress that you will never wear again.

old toys

They can often be very expensive, which is why many parents are hesitant to part with toys even when the children grow up. If they are not broken, give them to charity or to friends who have small children.

Socks without a pair

Have you started a special basket in which you keep all the socks without a pair, hoping that the loss will be found one day? Trust me, this won't happen. It's better if you just throw them away.

old cosmetics

Expired cosmetic products can harm your skin, so it's best to get rid of them in time.

Expired drugs

No, you'll never need those expired pills, so don't keep them "just in case." But not all expired medicines can simply be thrown into the trash. Make sure you dispose of them correctly.

Toothbrush

You should replace your toothbrush every few months after the bristles wear out.

Food in the refrigerator

You know very well what we are talking about. In the refrigerator very often there are products that “do not reach the hands” to throw away. But you can't just leave them there. Throw everything in the trash. Pay attention to storage times.

Old shopping bags

Despite some sort of tradition for many people to keep a "bag of bags" in their home, in most cases they are simply accumulated but never used. Throw out any shopping bags you've accumulated over the years, unless you really intend to use them.

CD, DVD and video cassettes

It's already 2017 outside. Why do you keep all those old CDs and DVDs? Write the information you need to your hard drive to free up shelf space.

kitchen sponges

They can be an ideal breeding ground for bacteria, so sponges should be washed or changed frequently. Don't know how to disinfect a sponge? The only remedy that will help you get rid of all bacteria is bleach.

Filters for water

Filter cartridges should be changed every few months, depending on the model, or when you notice that the water tastes bad.

Old business cards

You will never need Business Cards the company you used to work for, or the ones you used when you held a position. When you retire, old business cards should be thrown into the trash.

Old chargers

Why do you need a charger from an old 2004 Motorola Razr phone? We live in the era of smartphones, so there is definitely no place in your house for old chargers.

old magazines

Many people have been hoarding old magazines and newspapers for years. Why do you need them? What is the probability that you will reread them? Most likely, they only clutter up your coffee table.

Old socks and underwear

If they have more holes than they should, throw them away without regrets and buy new ones.

Old bills and receipts

If these invoices are really important, scan or take a picture and keep them in a folder on your computer.

Minimalism is a special way of life. It implies not only the absence of unnecessary things, it also creates conditions for getting rid of unnecessary clothes. And the last thing is very important: the unwillingness or inability to part with old clothes clutter up the living space more than constant purchases. Every thing has its time active life, and it's important not to miss it when it expires.

How to part with unnecessary things Right? How to get rid of junk that takes up space but will never serve its intended purpose? I have my own algorithm.

Step 1. Winter or summer?

Initially, all things in the house are divided into two large groups:

  1. "Summer",
  2. "Winter".

In summer I work with the first, in winter, respectively, with the second. This is important, because in the heat it is difficult for me to assess the relevance, warmth and quality of the sweater, and in terrible frost sometimes it is impossible to understand the beauty of a sundress. That's why critical analysis here and now we expose clothes that are about to begin to be worn, because the season is conducive to this.

Step 2. Ideal or not?

Things for the season are divided into three groups:

1. Ideal.
They are up-to-date, they match personal style, they fit perfectly, they are of high quality.

2. Good ones, but...
They are generally good, but something is wrong with them. Wrong length, wrong volume, wrong parameters. They can be a little full, a little outdated, squeeze the stomach, gather on the back.

2. Bad.
They went out of fashion, lost quality, stretched out, faded from washing. They may be loved but critical eye unmistakable: these clothes have lost their original charm.

Step 3. Throw away or keep?

Three groups lie in front of you (you can even dump them inaccurately). And here everything is easy:

  1. Ideal things remain in the closet and are actively worn,
  2. Things "Good, but ..." are transformed - they can be altered, cut, changed with accessories (for example, belts). If there is no desire or ability to do something with them, you will have to part.
  3. Bad things are thrown away without regret. This is exactly the kind of clothes that will never be worn.

A little more about the "bad" things

  1. Have recovered - you can return to your previous figure, but you are unlikely to want to return to your old wardrobe, which has lost its relevance during the “downtime”;
  2. Have lost weight - your favorite things turn into shapeless bags, and you can wear them with a belt, but it will just be ugly;
  3. They changed the style - you can’t make your favorite midi skirt a mini just by rolling it up at the waist;
  4. Growing up is especially important: 5 years ago, idiotic glasses, creepy plush platform sandals and infantile denim overalls looked fresh on you, but today, alas, these are the same things from the past as rompers. They just don't suit you.

How to throw away?

There is just a sweater in spools, and you can put it on rags. But there is also a skirt bought for the first salary. There is a sundress in which you met your love. There is a lucky dress in which the driving test was passed (from the second time!). How to throw them away? How to put them in the trash can?

Therefore, I do not suggest throwing clothes away or just ruining them (for example, sewing a car cover out of a coat that will be as frankly scary as the coat itself). To me, this is vandalism.

Clothes go out of our lives like this:

  1. Given to friends or sold - the best things that have retained quality and can attract someone else,
  2. Changes - you can exchange things with friends or other like-minded people, which will allow you to refresh your wardrobe for free,
  3. Changed - for those who know how to do it, or know whom to ask,
  4. Given to those in need (there are a lot of such families, if you set a goal, you can easily find someone who will be happy to wear your old jeans),
  5. Given to those who can make something special out of it.

The last one is very interesting. There are companies that make bags out of old leather jackets. There are also craftsmen who sew old denim items into bags. And finally, there are families (there are not many of them) who make beautiful toys or accessories out of old clothes. I sent a whole package of my things to one such family, and I admire what they turned into. And most importantly, things did not disappear, they simply transformed.

Giving away clothes is easy and pleasant if it allows you to extend its life - just not in your closet and not in your house dust anymore. And most importantly - things sold or given away free up space and give a wide scope for choosing a new one. When only the clothes you like are left in the closet, it is very easy to determine what is still missing and buy exactly that.

A minimal wardrobe is a little creativity. You create not just your own set of clothes. And not even my own style. You create a living space whose details delight you, because they simply cannot be boring. Oh no,

minimalism is very inspiring and interesting!

Why? More on that next time.

In the meantime, what's your idea? Do you agree? Did you have to throw things away?

If your hands are itching to quickly start throwing everything away, go to the kitchen, there are a lot of things to throw away that you will never regret.

1. Mugs
Count how many do you have? Probably so many people your apartment has never seen. And in general, in case of guests, there is probably a service. Of course, there are mugs that are very cute and cute, but there are sure to be completely stupid mugs: with company logos, donated on the occasion of the launch of a new (and long-dead) brand of chewing gum. Spring-cleaning - best time get rid of them.

2. Food containers
Such an impeccable storage system, as in the photo, is rarely seen in reality. Not only are there usually too many containers, but the lids are also lost from most of them. Of course, you can also leave a couple of these as a last resort (if anything, you can tighten it with cling film), but no more. And the containers absorb odors and darken. It's definitely time to part with these.

3. Exhausted spices
Seasonings, dried herbs, teas... Don't think they don't have an expiration date. Already after a few months, the plant in an open package noticeably loses its properties and taste qualities, and after a couple of years it completely turns into empty dust. (By the way, cinnamon retains its taste the longest).

Explore the contents of the kitchen shelves and force yourself to finally throw out the old spices that have lost their taste. Do not forget about the old tea, or rather what is left of it - after all, you brought it from India five years ago.

4. Portioned little things
A bag of ketchup was brought from McDonald's, a box of jam was taken from the plane for some reason, salt and pepper from peregrine falcon, and sticks were received along with the delivery of sushi. Sometimes, for some reason, I really want to keep all these bags and boxes - just in case, they will suddenly come in handy. And the little bars of soap and disposable mini-shampoos from the hotels that will definitely come in handy for your next vacation or, God forbid, when you get to the hospital?

At home, in a box, however, all this quickly turns into real garbage, which is waiting in the wings to go to the trash heap. H in order not to litter the living space, to clean andthrow away old things regularly. However, zealous housewives can completely save sugar and pour it somewhere.

Perfume and cosmetic probes belong to the same category of rubbish. If you still have not tried their contents - throw away without regrets. Without them, the shelf in the bathroom will change for sure.

5. Permafrost
Look in the freezer, there you can find a lot of mysterious products. If you do not remember when and under what circumstances this or that ice block turned out to be here, there is no doubt that it is more correct for her to become a dinner for stray dogs than you will treat her to your household.

6. Expired medicines
They need to be removed from the first-aid kit as soon as possible, while no one has eaten. They usually do not cause regrets, but there is another difficulty.

It is believed that drugs should not be thrown into the trash, it can be dangerous for people and environment. How to throw them away correctly? - Tablets must be crushed and mixed with other garbage, suspensions should be poured into the toilet - in general, a whole science. In Europe and America, there are special instructions in this regard, and pharmacies accept medicines for disposal. We don't really think about such things. But cleaning your first aid kit regularly is still essential.

7. Old towels and sheets
Even if they are pretty worn out, they do not lose useful properties, and therefore they are thrown out extremely rarely. It may well turn out that an entire shelf is occupied by pillowcases from long-defunct pillows and old sheets that do not fit any bed in the house. It's time to deal with them!

Don't know how to properly throw things away? - Yes, it's very simple! Leave a couple of sheets for your beloved child, so that the teenager has something to turn into a ghost on Halloween, and send the rest to the trash or rags. (This means that the rags of the previous generation will have to be thrown away completely).

It is believed that three sets of linen are enough for each bed: one is bed linen, the second is in the wash, the third is in reserve. The same with towels. Keep unwanted old stuff, especially incomplete sets, there is practically no reason. Is that out of great love for diversity.

8. Hangers
In the universe, whose name is “wardrobe”, you can’t figure it out with a swoop. If you can’t immediately figure out what things to throw away, get rid of at least extra hangers. Those flimsy, with which things are most often sold. Or metal ones that are left after things from dry cleaning - they are definitely not needed.

9. Media
Very few people still have deposits of cassettes and floppy disks, meanwhile, many disks take up space without any reason. Even if you still watch videos on a tape recorder with great pleasure, thin out your home film library: get rid of passing movies, games, etc. When you finish cleaning, only your loved ones and those that once changed your life should remain.

10. Electronic trash
Progress cannot be stopped, and there is nothing left for us to do but throw away unnecessary things: TVs, Cell phones, inkjet printers, computers and other obsolete equipment.

If you take to the trash your first computer in your life, which opened you a wonderful new world, seems like a real blasphemy, contact the services that deal with the disposal of electronic waste. If you're lucky, they'll come and pick you up. Maybe that will make it easier to part with him.

In general, it is believed that this kind of garbage should be taken for processing to special places. But even from a landfill, it will be quickly sent where it should be. Don't forget: for someone your old unwanted things is a source of income.

Of course the wires charging device, adapters and all the unknown for what the right things from devices that have become obsolete should also go home. But before throwing away unnecessary things, make sure that the charger from your current phone has not been tucked into the trash.

Old things litter the space in the house and prevent not only the free circulation of clean air, but also (according to Feng Shui) qi (life) energy. Old things require special treatment. Some things cannot be stored in the house, others are strictly forbidden to be thrown away. What is the best way to get rid of old clothes so as not to harm yourself?

When we wear clothes, they absorb information about us. Therefore, before getting rid of old jackets and raincoats, you need to follow special rules.

Caps, hats, berets are the most “receptive” wardrobe items, as they are directly related to our head and our thoughts. It is not recommended to throw them away, it is better to put them in one box and put them in a secluded place. If this is not possible, then burn them, saying 7 times, looking at the flame: "Burn in the fire, take everything with you."

Before getting rid of clothes, be sure to wash them to remove your energy from them. Before washing, say to the water 3 times:

“Voditsa - sister, wash it off, rinse the spirit of the servant of God (the name of the owner of the things) from these things, let him stay with me, and from now on they will be clean and nobody’s.”

The psychic told readers about the dangers posed by old things in the house. It turns out that old items negatively affect the energy of the house, and also attract bad luck.

What are the dangers of old things in the house

There is the Law of Abundance, which says the following: in order for the new to come, you need to get rid of the old. The psychic explains this law by saying that the Universe will not find a place for new things and blessings if your house is cluttered with old things.

Remember your thoughts when, for example, you look at your closet with old clothes that you either don’t wear or you just feel sorry for throwing them away. Recall your thoughts when you look at old car or a worn sofa. Usually in such cases, people think like this: “What if I don’t have money to buy new sofa(dress, car, etc.)?

One of the basic rules of Feng Shui is to get rid of old rubbish in time, because it is it that energetically clogs the surrounding subtle energies and prevents the new from coming into your life.

For example, when your shoes are worn out to holes, but there are no others, then by will not by will, you get rid of the old ones and buy new ones. But if the old ones are only slightly thin, then you are sorry to spend money, although you have long wanted something fresh and new.

Our problem is that we are sorry to get rid of the old, even if it no longer has any practical value for us.

It is not necessary to get rid of old things immediately and free up new space. But why not throw away the skis gathering dust under the bed? Or not to sort out your wardrobe, where you need to pay close attention to such things as women's panties, dresses, tights, socks?

Analyze your life. What would you like now, but you can't get it for a very long time? Money? family? Health? Look at your home with...

Is there at least one Russian family in whose bins there will not be old furniture, stacks of Soviet magazines tied with ropes, old shoes"for giving" and other things that require urgent evacuation to the trash? Probably not. We are all Plyushkins in some way, and on every balcony, in the pantry, on mezzanines and cabinets, “sources of mites, allergens, mold and moths” have been stored for decades.

Do I need to get rid of junk, and how to do it wisely?

Why should you throw away the old?

Old things litter the space in the house and prevent not only the free circulation of clean air, but also (according to Feng Shui) qi (life) energy. You can relate to the very philosophy of Feng Shui in different ways, but you cannot deny the negative impact of junk in the house on the health of the household. Old things bring us old energy, dust, mites, etc., responding with poor health, laziness, apathy, and as a result - negative thoughts and projecting them onto your life. If you want to...

Do you suffer from loneliness, do you always have some problems, are you constantly haunted by failures? Feng Shui masters advise: free your home from old and unnecessary things - and your troubles will end.

According to the wise teachings of Feng Shui, the well-being of the inhabitants of the house is directly related to the circulation of beneficial qi energy: moving freely around the rooms, “looking” into all its corners, it saturates the home with vitality, giving the owners health, prosperity, good luck and family happiness. If the house is cluttered, the qi energy is not able to not only circulate - it cannot even penetrate it!

Leaving family heirlooms...

Is your wardrobe full of old blouses, dresses, skirts? On the mezzanine stacked boxes of out-of-fashion shoes? An old TV, a broken bicycle, wheels from a baby carriage are gathering dust in the closet? ... All this, most likely, will never be useful to you, but your hand does not rise to throw away. Connected with some things Nice memories, and nothing to do with others, but you...

Is there a dynasty, in particular, one dance family, whose bins are not full of old furniture, piles of Soviet magazines tied with ropes, old shoes “for summer cottages” and other things that require urgent evacuation to the trash heap? Probably not. We are all on something - Plyushkins, and on every balcony, in the pantry, on mezzanines and cabinets, "sources of mites, allergens, mold and moths" have been stored for decades.

Need a dynasty to get rid of junk, and exactly do it wisely?

Why is it necessary to throw away the old?

Old things litter the space on the house and prevent not only the free circulation of clean air, but also (according to Feng Shui) qi (life) energy. It is allowed to treat the very philosophy of Feng Shui in different ways, and it is impossible to deny the negative authority of junk on the house on the health of the household. Why can't you take out the trash in the evening and

This sign is rooted in the distant past, but nevertheless it is popular today even among those who consider themselves a materialist. But still, whether you believe in signs or not, it is better not to take out the garbage from the house after sunset.

Why can't you take out the trash in the evening?

1. So that money does not stop flowing
All Feng Shui masters recommend taking out the garbage only before sunset. And they associate it with prosperity in the house.
The fact is that the energies of day and night have polar meanings - yang and yin. Taking out the garbage at night, we touch the Yin energy, which in itself is a state of peace, silence, decline. But the garbage itself is the Yang remains from the master's table. Thus, the energies enter into dissonance, disrupting the natural course of qi.
The night has its own tasks, and this is not taking out the trash.

In the course of life, each of us acquires not only great life experience, but also a whole bunch of things that eventually become simply not needed. What is an unnecessary thing - it's not just rubbish that you shift from place to place, each time giving yourself a promise to throw it away, but for some reason you put off this moment. An unnecessary thing - in general, this is negative energy in your home, which leaves an imprint on your condition, relationships, atmosphere. An unnecessary thing is also the energy of stagnation, filling your space, it does not allow something new to enter your house, change your life for the better, and therefore you need to get rid of old things.

But do not rush to throw away unnecessary things in the trash, because something that no longer represents any value for you can be very important for someone else - give, donate or sell for a symbolic price what you want to get rid of. Nowadays, you don't even have to put up an ad that you want...

If you know for sure that you will never need an old children's bike, a broken stroller and a huge amount of things that have long gone out of fashion, and you don’t dare to throw them away even when moving from an apartment, then consider another option: give them to people who need. The main thing is to free up space in the house from things that you will never use. After all, if the apartment is cluttered, then the useful qi energy simply cannot penetrate it, not to mention the fact that it must circulate around the house!

Do not turn your favorite apartment into a warehouse for unnecessary things. Just do not shift things from closets to utility rooms. If the balcony compartment or pantry is clogged with rubbish, then the path for qi energy will be blocked. It turns out that you will not see any prosperity or good ...

How to get rid of unnecessary things?

Each of us knows how difficult it is throw things away, even those that we no longer need. It can be anything, from outdated clothes to toys for children who have grown up a long time ago. But if you do not get rid of all this rubbish, there will be no place in the house for the owners themselves.

1. Make it a rule do not buy a new thing until the old one is thrown away. So, if you, for example, are going to the store for a brand new jumper and dress, take your time. To get started, open your closet and sort through the things you no longer need. Now get rid of them. If your heart aches and you really don’t want to throw things away, don’t throw them away. But in this case, you must accept the fact that you will not see new things either. Always...

new girl: Please tell me how to deal with unnecessary things that lie for years (just in case, or as a memory, etc.) and only take up space, but for some reason I'm afraid to throw it away. How, in particular, to deal with such things as: a) old clothes and shoes; b) old bed sheets; c) blankets, pillows, mattresses; d) old knives, forks, spoons; e) thread-needles-buttons. I really hope for your advice, especially since New Year's cleaning is just around the corner. thank you and all the best.

11/28/2013 00:00 “How to get rid of old unnecessary things? Someone thinks that they must be burned, others simply throw them away with the garbage. What do the omens say? Julia". Responsible
Lyana Rempel:

According to ancient traditions, things that have served their purpose should be burned. This cannot be done in housing (for example, in a stove or fireplace). It is better to kindle a fire in a wasteland and throw into the fire what belonged to you personally (underwear, etc.), old and unnecessary shoes (they cannot be stored in the house).

Once upon a time, shoes and clothes were not thrown away at all. They were given to poor people to wear, it was considered quite acceptable. And today there is nothing dangerous if your old coat or boots go to the homeless. But underwear is still better to burn. Worst case, bury it in the ground. The same should be done with used cosmetics, especially if the case with used lipstick was equipped with a mirror. Such a thing, even if it has become unnecessary, should not be thrown into the trash can ....

Old things
What to do so that they do not destroy new family

Yesterday, my daughter brought me another bag of unnecessary things, so that I, as usual, handed them out to friends and relatives. And I, as usual, decided to conduct an audit before distribution. And sunk into one T-shirt, almost new and very bright. Why give it away? I will wear it myself. If not on vacation somewhere on the sea, then in the country. The main thing is that the T-shirt does not catch the eyes of the daughter. She really doesn't like it when I leave something to myself.

And interfere with life
and throw away

Not to say that I hold on to old things, but sometimes the toad chokes. On the one hand, I understand: they have a place on the balcony, cottage or landfill. But it's a shame to throw it away. Will they come in handy? If I give it back, then I will think - I could have slandered more!

Many are annoyed by someone else's attachment to old things. I remember a friend complaining about her mother-in-law, with whom she lived for two years. At first, the relationship developed normally. All...

those. Is it also dangerous to look at photos of deceased relatives? what could be the consequences?

it's not dangerous what you look at, it's dangerous what you're afraid of) when you look at something with fear, then you "drain energy into it." fear is like a hole in the reservoir of your possibilities, and a person pierces this hole himself, only himself - from the inside. succumbs to provocation - and makes holes in himself, and any infection rushes into an open wound with a drill. Look at your relatives, if you loved them, with love, and therefore there is no damage, but one continuous good both for you and their souls. And photos of unknown people can inspire fear, hence the advice - burn it (topikstarter is obviously afraid). And you don’t look for problems for yourself like the hero of Jerome, who read the reference book of diseases and found everything in himself, except for puerperal fever)

I myself encountered this - now it's some kind of problem. Firstly, they don’t accept toys (it’s a pity to throw them away), because of the expiration date (3 years), I probably had a package of 2 of these toys, in the end I took them at night to a neighboring yard and a note that the toys are normal, take whoever wants , but I don't need them anymore. I don't wear. But it is best to contact local social centers that provide assistance to the needy (I have a friend who works in such a place, and I donate through her: shoes, clothes, bags). But I also had one more problem: a bunch of notebooks with an oblique ruler (so many that it’s enough to study until the 3rd grade, all sorts of pencils - in general, all such rubbish) I also put them in bags and in the same yard and also with a note, but the bag I took a completely transparent one so that people would not be afraid to look. If they still don't get it. so thrown out - and my conscience is clear and there is more space in the apartment ....
