Kim Hyun Joong is not married, but journalists from almost all publications write about his numerous novels. The singer and actor himself has repeatedly stated that he is not yet ready to start a family with any of his passions.

A big scandal happened to the star in 2014. His ex-girlfriend, a certain Miss Choi, announced that she was pregnant with his child. The musician agreed to take over the raising of the baby if a DNA test confirms that Kim is indeed the father. But to date, there is no evidence that Hyun Joon is related to Miss Choi's child.

On May 12, 2015, Kim Hyun Joong was mobilized and began his compulsory military service in Korea. He returned from the army in February 2017.
