Which programming language to choose, what tasks to focus on and how to allocate time on the exam

Teaches computer science at Foxford.

Different universities require different entrance exams in IT areas. Somewhere you need to take physics, somewhere - computer science. It is up to you to decide which exam to prepare for, but it should be borne in mind that the competition for specialties where physics must be taken is usually lower than in specialties where the Unified State Examination in computer science is required, i.e. the probability of entering "through physics" is greater.

Why then take the exam in computer science?

  • It is faster and easier to prepare for it than for physics.
  • You will be able to choose from more specialties.
  • It will be easier for you to study in the chosen specialty.

What you need to know about the exam in computer science

The exam in computer science consists of two parts. In the first part there are 23 problems with a short answer, in the second - 4 problems with a detailed answer. In the first part of the exam there are 12 basic level tasks, 10 advanced level tasks and 1 task high level. In the second part - 1 task of an increased level and 3 - high.

Solving problems from the first part allows you to score 23 primary points - one point for the completed task. Solving problems in the second part adds 12 primary points (3, 2, 3 and 4 points for each problem, respectively). Thus, the maximum primary points that can be obtained for solving all tasks is 35.

Primary scores are converted into test scores, which are the result of the exam. 35 primary points = 100 test points per exam. At the same time, more test points are awarded for solving problems from the second part of the exam than for answers to the problems of the first part. Each primary score obtained for the second part of the exam, will give you 3 or 4 test scores, for a total of about 40 final scores for the exam.

This means that when performing the exam in computer science, it is necessary to pay special attention to solving problems with a detailed answer: No. 24, 25, 26 and 27. Their successful completion will allow you to score more final points. But the price of a mistake during their implementation is higher - the loss of each primary score is fraught with the fact that you will not pass the competition, because 3-4 final scores for the Unified State Examination with high competition in IT specialties can become decisive.

How to prepare for solving problems from the first part

  • Pay special attention to tasks No. 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 18, 20, 23. It is these tasks, according to the analysis of the results of past years, that are especially difficult. Difficulties in solving these problems are experienced not only by those who have a low overall score for the Unified State Examination in computer science, but also by “good students” and “excellent students”.
  • Learn by heart the table of powers of the number 2.
  • Remember that Kbytes in tasks means kibibytes, not kilobytes. 1 kibibyte = 1024 bytes. This will help avoid calculation errors.
  • study carefully USE options previous years. The computer science exam is one of the most stable, which means that you can safely use the USE options for the last 3-4 years for preparation.
  • Get to know the different options for wording assignments. Remember that a slight change in the wording will always lead to worse exam results.
  • Read the problem statement carefully. Most of the errors in completing assignments are due to a misunderstanding of the condition.
  • Learn to independently check completed tasks and find errors in the answers.

What you need to know about problem solving with a detailed answer

24 task - to find the error

25 task requires a simple program

26 task - on game theory

27 task - it is necessary to program a complex program

Problem 27 is the main difficulty in the exam. It is only decided60-70% of USE writers in computer science. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that it is impossible to prepare for it in advance. Every year, the exam is submitted in principle new task. When solving problem No. 27, not a single semantic error should be made.

How to calculate exam time

Be guided by the data that are given in the specification of control measuring materials for the exam in computer science. It indicates the approximate time allotted for completing the tasks of the first and second parts of the exam.

The exam in computer science lasts 235 minutes

Of these, 90 minutes are allotted for solving problems from the first part. On average, each task from the first part takes from 3 to 5 minutes. It takes 10 minutes to solve problem #23.

There are 145 minutes left to solve the tasks of the second part of the exam, while solving the last task No. 27 will take at least 55 minutes. These calculations were made by the specialists of the Federal Institute for Pedagogical Measurements and are based on the results of exams of previous years, so they should be taken seriously and used as a guide for the exam.

Programming languages - which one to choose

  1. BASIC. It is an outdated language, and although it is still taught in schools, there is no point in wasting time learning it.
  2. School algorithmic programming language. It is designed specifically for early learning to program, convenient for mastering initial algorithms, but contains almost no depth, there is nowhere to develop in it.
  3. Pascal. It is still one of the most common programming languages for teaching in schools and universities, but its capabilities are also very limited. Pascal is quite suitable as the language for writing the exam.
  4. C++. Universal language, one of the fastest programming languages. It is difficult to learn from it, but in practical application its possibilities are very wide.
  5. Python. It is easy to learn at an elementary level, the only thing required is knowledge in English. At the same time, with an in-depth study, Python provides the programmer with no less opportunities than C ++. Having started learning Python at school, you will continue to use it in the future, you will not have to relearn another language in order to reach new horizons in programming. To pass the exam, it is enough to know "Python" at a basic level.

Good to know

  • Works in computer science are evaluated by two experts. If the expert evaluation results differ by 1 point, the higher of the two points is assigned. If the discrepancy is 2 points or more, the work is rechecked by a third expert.

USE in Informatics

The USE in Informatics is one of the elective exams for high school graduates. It must be taken by those who plan to enter universities for the most promising specialties, such as information security, automation and control, nanotechnology, systems analysis and management, missile systems and astronautics, nuclear physics and technology, and many others.

Preparing for the Unified State Exam (GVE) in computer science is a rather difficult task. Every year the complexity of the tasks proposed for the exam increases. At the same time, the student is busy preparing for the exam in compulsory subjects. The complexity of preparing for the Unified State Examination (GVE) in computer science is due to the small number of hours allocated for its study.

The total number of participants in the exam in 2015 is 50394 people. The proportion of exam participants among all graduates over a number of years is about 7.2%.

The average test score in 2015 was 53.99 points (in 2014 - 57.79 points). The decrease in the average test score is explained by the decrease total tasks in CMM due to the exclusion of the simplest ones, which had a low differentiating ability of tasks. At the same time, the proportion of participants who received high test scores (81–100) increased (8.21% in 2015 versus 7.15% in 2014).
The proportion of graduates who did not score the minimum number of points in 2015 was 16.15%, while in 2014 it was 10.36%. The exclusion of tasks with a choice of answers and a general decrease in the number of tasks had an effect. This change reflects the profile nature of the elective examination, which requires the participant to conduct targeted preparation.

The number and share of 100-point students in the USE in 2015 (105 people, 0.21%) increased by 3 times compared to the USE in 2014 (35 people, 0.07%), but in any case, these values are small and are within the bounds of statistical error. The share of high scorers (81-100 test scores) in 2015 also increased compared to 2014 to 8.21% in 2015 against 7.15% in the previous year.

USE Score Transfer Scale 2017 in Informatics

It is impossible to know in advance before the exam by what formula the points will be transferred and therefore the information presented below is approximate. That is, it will be like this.

Early stage

main stage

As part of the main stage of the Unified State Examination in Informatics, it will be held on May 29 (Monday) in Orenburg (MOAU "Lyceum No. 1", Orenburg, Kharkovskaya St., 14)

Preparation for the exam in computer science

It is better to start preparing for testing in advance. It is necessary to take into account the fact that school program does not provide the necessary amount of knowledge to pass the profile exam.

To get an idea of the format of the final knowledge test, you can download demo versions and guidelines on official portal USE. Solution of several online tests in computer science will help you determine in which topics you have gaps in knowledge. The exam covers only those areas that are easily formalized. Thus, "Number systems", "Logic", "Information coding" and "Algorithmization and programming" form a kind of basis.

The subsequent systematic solution of typical options will allow you to work out the skill of quickly finding an answer in the first part. You should not count on a high result if Part C is not disassembled and worked out. Three out of four tasks of a high level of complexity are related to programming. In order for a year or six months to be enough to prepare for the exam, you need not just memorize the theory in order to apply it with difficulty in solving problems. It is necessary to adhere to several rules that can greatly facilitate the life of a graduate-applicant:

  1. Drafting detailed plan preparation: studying the topic + mastering the terminology + solving problems.
  2. Do not neglect online testing: taking several tests will help you determine the level of your knowledge and identify gaps.
  3. With a systematic solution and analysis of the tasks of the exam in computer science, you will develop the skill to quickly find the answer in the first part of the exam questions.

Study the structure of the exam so that the time allotted for completing tasks and scores for answers do not come as a surprise to you. The sooner you get acquainted with KIM, the stronger your nerves will be during the exam.

It is important to realistically assess your strengths if there are 2-3 months left before the date of passing the exam. Even with a low level of knowledge, the situation can be significantly improved if the time is properly allocated. You should focus on the daily repetition of the material covered. Theoretical material can be repeated using the site https://inf-ege.sdamgia.ru/page/theory

Computer science and ICT is one of those subjects that can be chosen for passing state exams at the end of school. Everything related to the Unified State Examination in Informatics 2017 - from the date of delivery to the latest changes - in our article.

USE in Informatics: Exam Schedule

When choosing additional subjects for the exam, future graduates take into account not only the degree of complexity of the discipline, but also the date of the exam in order to properly plan the preparation time.

When to take the exam in computer science 2017?

Stage 1 - early

  • March 16, Thursday
  • April 3, Tuesday - reserve day.

Stage 2 - main

  • May 31, Wednesday
  • June 19, Monday - reserve day.

For those who will not be able to pass the exam on the allotted days, the third examination stage is planned in the fall - an additional one. In September, it will be possible to both improve your final grade in computer science, and pass the subject for the first time. The presence of the autumn stage is a logical consequence of the reform USE structures that started several years ago. Instead of the third, "July" wave of exams, an additional period of delivery was introduced into the schedule - for those who, for some good reason (illness, departure from the country, sports competitions, olympiads, etc.) could not take the exam in total mass. The same time is provided for those who could not score the minimum score along with the general flow.

Remembering the dates of state exams, it is worth remembering that to today Rosobrnadzor has published so far only a draft timetable, and the second in a row. The final version will appear only in the second half school year 2016-2017. True, it is worth noting that, as a rule, a project from final version the schedule is practically no different - the discrepancies between the two versions are minimal. And therefore, the dates of the Unified State Examination in Informatics 2017 can be safely considered correct.

Minimum score

All the results of the USE 2016 have already been summed up, conclusions and analyzes have been made, and therefore we can talk about minimum score USE-2017.

In 2017, the minimum/threshold value for informatics and ICT will be 40 points.

The specified value is necessary both for obtaining a certificate and for entering a university.

When preparing for the exam, it is worth remembering that in 2017 the points scored on the exam will affect the final grade in the certificate. That is, if at the end of the year you got an A for computer science, but at the Unified State Examination you scored only the minimum number of points - 40, that is, you got a three, then in the end result your certificate will show off a four.

This innovation applies not only to computer science, but to all subjects in which the state exam is taken.

Changes in the Unified State Examination in Informatics 2017

There has been talk for a long time about turning the written computer science exam into a practical one. For passing the exam on a computer, and not in paper version, as it was all previous years, teachers themselves, and officials of Rosobrnadzor, and even the former Minister of Education Dmitry Livanov spoke out. By the way, he ordered to provide all schools in the country with the necessary amount of equipment - read, buy computers for each school. The truth about the funding source this project not a word was said. As you know, there is no money - there are no computers, and therefore today there are many schools throughout the country where computer science is taught exclusively in theory.

2017 should be the first year that the computer science exam is taken on a computer. As conceived by education officials, computer science should become a pilot subject in the state exam automation project. The choice is logical - many tasks from KIM in this discipline would be easier and more convenient to solve in a software environment.

However, today the situation is as follows: neither FIPI nor Rosobrnadzor have made any changes to the structure and scheme of exam tasks. On the contrary: the official position of the relevant department is as follows:

- to date, there are no changes in the structure and content in the Unified State Examination in Informatics 2017.

Preparation for the exam in computer science

To pass the exam and get a high mark for it, careful and competent preparation is necessary. This common truth is familiar to every student, not only to graduates, but to all students. However, not everyone knows how to properly prepare for the exam.

  • Time. It is better to start preparing well before the due date; ideally - right after the New Year holidays.
  • Educational materials. Almost every year, some changes are made to KIM, therefore it is best to use manuals and manuals published in 2016-2017 when preparing.
  • Preparation procedure. Break the material into several big topics- best as it is done in the textbook. Then each topic into several basic subtopics, those in turn into paragraphs. With such small volumes, it is easier to learn the material, in addition, such a scheme provides enough incentive to learn new things.
  • Using demos. To date, FIPI has published demo versions of the exam. Be sure to complete several practice sessions, review last year's exam analytics, review the spec sheet, and USE codifier in informatics. First of all, this will allow you to find out what the exam is like and help you not be afraid of the exam. In addition, a similar check on demos will reveal your weak spots, will demonstrate which sections of the discipline need to pay more attention.

Hello, dear readers of the blog site. We continue to look, decide, remember what has already been forgotten. Today, on the queue of the Unified State Examination in Informatics 2017, I will try to analyze the tasks as much as possible, indicate what you need to know to successfully pass the exam, and also share my impressions of the tasks. I remind you that the exam in mathematics and the level, and have already been sorted out, you can read about the demo versions of these subjects at the links.

I passed the exam a long time ago, there were few such tasks at the university, and far from all, so I ask you to understand and forgive me if you disagree with my assessments of complexity or necessity. But nevertheless, I will write an article, I hope it will be useful to someone, and someone will express their opinion in the comments.

USE in Informatics 2017, what you need to know

Generally speaking, according to USE demos in computer science 2017, you need to know a lot, I hope graduates know all this and it will not be somehow unusual for them to see such tasks.

You need to know the binary number system

Again, I won’t tie the list of necessary knowledge to task numbers, I’ll just give it as a list, so let’s go, I’ll try as it gets more complicated:

  • Work with spreadsheets. Anyone who has used Excel will do this task without any problems.
  • Know what number systems are. At least binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal, although there may be number systems with any base, for example 3. And not only know, but also be able to translate from one number system to another. Moreover, to save time, it is better to understand which number system it will be easier and faster to translate into. For example, look at the first task, which contains a demo version of the Unified State Examination in Informatics 2017, there you can save a lot of time if you convert from binary to hexadecimal, and not convert everything to decimal.
  • Know logical functions, truth tables for them and be able to work with truth tables for expressions consisting of several logical functions.
  • Be able to work with graphs and tables. Moreover, sometimes they can be connected and it is necessary to establish the relationship between them.
  • To be able to represent textual information in the form of discrete, that is, digital, and to know the units of measurement of information.
  • To some extent, a continuation of the previous subparagraph. The ability to estimate the amount of memory needed to store one or another type of information (text, graphics, video, etc.)
  • Know at least one programming language and be able to use it, how to write programs (more on that later), and understand what has already been compiled.
  • Knowledge of computer networks, in particular demo version there was a question about the TCP / IP protocol stack, perhaps there will be something else on the exam.
  • Understand code written not in a programming language, but in Russian, if it’s not clear what I mean, see task 14 from the USE demo version.
  • Be able to write programs in one of the programming languages according to the task. And also understand someone else's code and find errors that were made when writing programs.

USE in Informatics 2017, impressions

After 5 years of studying computer science and programming at the university, I can’t say that the tasks seemed so easy. No, of course, everything is solvable, but you also need to know quite a lot. So the USE in Informatics 2017 is not very simple, it will be quite difficult to pass.

Important! If you cannot solve any task from part 2 given in the USE demo version, and do not even try to figure it out, being sure that you will have enough points for admission. even NOT go to university, to a specialty related to computer science and programming. Believe me, you can and will learn to program, but you will spend miles of nerves at the same time. So think very carefully whether you need it, especially since there is a possibility that you will never learn to program. And after thinking, it's better to give up programming anyway.

Good luck to everyone on the exam, in preparing and choosing the exam you need!

Many would not mind insuring themselves with ready-made answers to the USE-2017 in computer science. The exam is really not easy, you won’t be able to leave on intuition - you need to know. But do not rush to download answers from the first businessmen who come across the Web. First, let's figure out where the USE answers in computer science can come from; how realistic is it that anyone has them at all.

To whom and how do the USE answers get

There are three potential sources of prohibited information:

  1. hackers break into mail or other servers of the Ministry of Education and Science or FIPI;
  2. some of the employees of the Ministry and its departments violate the secret;
  3. teachers or students on the day of the exam promptly perform tasks from officially printed on Far East KIMs and send them to the western regions, with which the difference between them can reach 6-8 hours.

Logic dictates that the first two sources are the most expensive, because we are talking about exclusive information that a graduate may have in advance. The third source for the graduate is less expensive (and let's say in advance that it is completely useless).

What sources of USE-2017 answers in computer science can be trusted

From East to West

The trick with the time difference between different regions no longer a trick, but rather stupidity on the part of some graduates and laziness on the part of scammers who failed to come up with a more tempting argument. The fact is that KIMs are different everywhere. Options developed a large number of, and if you don’t know which KIM options your region will get (and this is unknown to anyone except the elite), you don’t get answers, but a lottery with a very small chance of winning.

Of course, individual tasks may coincide, since they come from the same database, but it’s hardly worth spending time looking for answers and money for acquiring them (although sometimes answers are offered for free, so to speak, from the Unified State Examination solidarity).

Hackers and corrupt officials

Of course, no one on the Web introduces himself: “Hello, I am a hacker (or a corrupt official). I'm ready to make you a unique selling proposition that you can't refuse."

However, you can meet the following "tender" story.

Eleventh-graders lived and lived in one school, and before they were all tired of preparing for exams, they decided to collect all the money together and buy USE answers through one person who has the necessary connections. With the world on a thread - bought. Yes, it got too expensive. They decided to win back their money, but at the same time help the rest of the students, and began to sell the purchased answers to others. “And how not to buy something,” people think, “after all, we believe our own, relatives, the same schoolchildren.”

Very similar to epic. But it most likely is. Fraudsters try to allegedly speak the language of "customers", attract with a folding legend about the origin of the answers and successfully cash in on the fact that it is easy to disappear on the Internet at the right time.

Add to this observation that none of the previous exams that have already taken place this year have revealed information leaks. Neither in the media nor on the Internet, no one en masse writes that the answers that were posted on the Web agreed with the tasks in the exam. Will this series of Rosobrnadzor's successes be interrupted in computer science? Doubtful.

Conclusion

There is only one conclusion: you cannot trust any sources of USE answers. There is more swindle in this matter than real help.

How to pass the USE-2017 in informatics without answers

In computer science KIMs there will be no very easy questions like “Define the binary number system”, etc. All 23 closed and 4 open tasks are aimed at testing your ability to analyze and apply knowledge. Without at least mediocre preparation for the exam, be prepared to retake. Alas, this year it will not work to retake the subject of choice and you will have to wait for the next year. On the other hand, you will have a whole year to study the subject perfectly and at a measured pace. And those who, because of the failure of computer science this year, are threatened by the army, will find benefit at least in the fact that after the service they will be able to enter the university on preferential terms.

If your interest in answers is dictated by simple self-doubt and the desire to insure, then everything is much simpler. You just don't need answers. You just need to repeat the basic things at night, sleep well and come to the exam with a fighting spirit.

Good luck to everyone on the exam!
