Suoi Tien Park- a huge amusement park in Ho Chi Minh City. This is a very unusual park: Suoi Tien is not just an amusement park, but also a theme and religious park, where, in addition to rides, carousels, a mini zoo, a crocodile farm, a 4D cinema, a water park and other entertainment facilities, there are also many religious and historical sculptures, operating temples and pagodas.

Religious themed amusement park in Ho Chi Minh City - Suoi Tien Park

Previously, there was a forestry and a huge farm where pythons were grown on the site of the park. In 1992, the construction of the park began, main theme which is "a return to the roots of national culture". The official opening of Suoi Tien Park took place in 1995, since then the park has continued to improve and expand. Now the park covers an area of just over 50 hectares, and in the coming years it is planned to expand the area of the park almost twice!

What is there in Suoi Tien Park!

A couple of weeks ago, during our visit to Ho Chi Minh City, we visited Suoi Tien Park. How to get to Suoi Tien Park, ticket prices, our impressions of the park and tips for visiting it are below in this article.

How to get to Suoi Tien Park

Suoi Tien Park is located 19 km from the center of Ho Chi Minh City. Park address: 120 AH 1, Tân Phú, Quận 9, Hồ Chí Minh

You can get to the amusement park by taxi (it will cost about $ 10 from the center of Ho Chi Minh City) or by bus number 19 from Ben Thanh Market.

Suoi Tien Park and bus stop near Ben Thanh market on the map

We got to the park by bus, got on it at the bus station on the square near the Ben Thanh market. The fare is 6,000 dong (this is about $ 0.35). The ride is long, more than an hour, but the buses are comfortable, with air conditioning, the main thing is to take seats, then the path to the park will be easy and comfortable. On the way, it is interesting to observe the life of local residents, to see another, non-touristic Ho Chi Minh 🙂

The park can be seen from afar, so don't worry, you won't pass the right stop. And the conductor will tell you where to get off (we showed the name and picture of the park on the phone). The bus stops right outside the entrance to the park.

entrance to the park

To go in the opposite direction, you need to go to the other side of the road on a footbridge. On the left you will see a stop.

Ticket prices for Suoi Tien Park

Unlike amusement parks in , Winpearl in , Fukuoka's Suoi Tien Park NOT general ticket for all entertainment (when you pay once and use all the attractions and entertainment on the territory).

At the entrance to Suoi Tien Park, you need to buy a ticket, which entitles you to only for entry to the territory of the park, but to all attractions, to the dolphinarium, water park, crocodile farm, etc. you have to buy separate tickets.

Entrance fees to Suoi Tien Park

  • VND 120,000 adult ticket
  • VND 60,000 child ticket

Children in the park are determined not by age, but by height. Everyone below 1.4 m walks like children 🙂

Prices for other activities in Suoi Tien Park

There are a lot of entertainment in Suoi Tien Park, so I will write prices for only some of them :

  • Water park - 100,000 VND for adults and 55,000 for children
  • Ice Castle - VND 60,000 and VND 40,000
  • Magic Castle - VND 50,000 and VND 30,000
  • Dolphinarium - VND 50,000 and VND 30,000
  • Panic room - VND 25,000 and VND 15,000
  • 4D cinema - VND 50,000 and VND 30,000
  • Aquarium - 15,000 and 10,000 VND
  • Crocodile farm - VND 30,000 and VND 15,000
  • Luggage storage - VND 20,000
  • Rent a hammock for an hour - 10,000 VND
  • Fish massage - VND 15,000
  • Attractions - from 15,000 dong for a children's ticket. Because almost all the inscriptions in the park are in Vietnamese, often it is not at all clear what it costs! We rode only on the Ferris wheel - the cost is 25,000 VND for adults, 15,000 for children.

Here are the prices for rides in the park. And understand how much it costs!
  • Large roller coaster - VND 60,000
  • Smaller roller coaster - VND 30,000

As you can see, the prices seem to be not high 1 - 3 dollars, but if you visit most of the attractions and entertainments, and even together, then the amount in the end will turn out to be not at all small! Therefore, I like those parks more, where you buy a ticket for all the entertainment once and you don’t pay extra on the territory for anything other than food and water 🙂

You can buy a combo ticket: 300,000 for adults and 250,000 for children, but first carefully study what kind of entertainment it includes, maybe you want to visit not these attractions, but others (for example, this complex ticket does not include a Ferris wheel ).

Suoi Tien park opening hours

Suoi Tien Park is open:

  • From 7:00 to 17:00 on weekdays
  • From 7:00 to 18:00 on weekends
  • And from 7:00 to 23:00 on holidays

Despite the fact that the official opening time of the park is until 17:00 at 16:00, the tents with food began to close with water, and at 16:30 half of the rides were already closed!

The park is huge, so be sure to take a map of the park at the entrance.

A schematic map is issued at the entrance and weighs in many parts of the park

Suoi Tien Religious Theme Park

At the entrance to the park, we are greeted by a huge statue of a dragon. Dragons are highly revered in Asian culture.

Huge dragon and little me 🙂

On the right is the current King Hung Temple.

One of the active temples in the park

A huge lake with a dragon and a golden turtle. Theatrical performances are often held here.

There is a huge statue of Avalokiteshvara near the lake. The height of the statue is 36 m, the diameter is 18 m. Avalokitesvara is a deity with one body, 15 heads and many arms, sitting in a lotus position.

I really liked the huge meadow with statues of the signs of the zodiac. It smells like pine trees nearby!

Very pleasant clearing with the smell of pines
A glade along the perimeter of which the signs of the zodiac are located by years
Me with my beast 🙂

Square with huge golden statues of someone (dragons?). On weekends and holidays an orchestra plays here and fountains are turned on.

Who are all these animals?!

Incomprehensible caves and monkeys carrying offerings to the Gods.

Magic tree - this tree is over 300 years old! The tree can grant wishes. To do this, you need to buy a silk ribbon (10,000 dong), write your most cherished desire and attach to the tree. And most importantly, cook, then it will definitely come true! 🙂

Whoever believes that wishes come true, go here 🙂

Next to the tree is a statue of Buddha Shakyamuni, who, according to legend, helps all living beings.

locals believe that this Buddha Shakyamuni helps everyone and grants wishes

Statue of the Chung sisters - two female generals riding elephants and waving flags.

Another active temple

To be honest, there are so many religious and historical statues, temples and pagodas in Suoi Tien Park that it is simply unrealistic to see and take pictures with each of them!
I would also like to know all these legends and what each sculpture means! And so we just wandered around the park, not understanding the purpose of most of the sculptures. But still very interesting!

I would like to know what all these statues symbolize ...

Rides and carousels in Suoi Tien Park

Something like teeth and rides in the background

If you go straight from the entrance to the park all the time, then on the left there will be a large covered pavilion with swings for small children (marked on the map as the Kingdom of Future Genius, which translates as the kingdom of future geniuses - funny, isn't it?).

Huge indoor pavilion with entertainment for young children

The pavilion covers an area of 15,000 sq. m, here you will find 99 different games and entertainment for children, a recreation area, souvenir shops and cafes. The cost of visiting the children's entertainment complex is 60,000 VND.

Carousels for the little ones
Horses for older children

Near the lake there are attractions for adults:

  • Ferris wheel
  • Roller coaster
  • flying disc
  • Viking boat
  • flying boats
  • Monorail
  • dance attraction

Monorail, cost 50,000 VND
Do you want to dance? Then you are welcome to the fun attraction Dance of Tagada Disco. Cost 20,000 VND

Crocodile farm in Suoi Tien park

Usually we do not like to visit all sorts of crocodile and snake farms, but for some reason we decided to go see the crocodiles. And they didn't regret it! Wandered around the crocodile farm for over an hour.

About 25,000 crocodiles now live in Suoi Tien Park, ranging from very small to very large. All crocodiles live in big lake, and visitors walk along the concrete flooring very close to them.

That's how many crocodiles live in Suoi Tien Park!
The lake is just teeming with these dangerous animals.
I have never seen crocodiles so close. Only a low mesh fence separates from crocodiles

Some crocodiles didn't seem alive at all, some just lay there and didn't move with their mouths open for a long time!

At first I thought they weren't living crocodiles. That's how long they can lie still. Yes, and with an open mouth!

For only 3,000 VND, you can feed a crocodile with a piece of meat. To be honest, it's not very pleasant ... scary ... Feeding bears is much more pleasant! 🙂

Feeding crocodiles

Here you can also buy souvenirs made of crocodile skin: handbags, wallets, shoes. Cost from 100 dollars.

Crocodile purses

I don’t know why, but I don’t like crocodile leather products at all ... And here, in Vietnam, and in Cambodia, there are just hundreds of these shops with crocodile bags! And someone OK all of this buys!

Watch the video, take a walk with us around the crocodile farm in the park 🙂

You can go fishing in the lake nearby. No, not a crocodile, but a fish:

  • Fishing cost 20,000 VND ($1)
  • Fishing rod deposit 30,000 VND ($1.5)
  • We pay for the fish itself depending on the type of fish - from 20,000 VND per kg

Water park in Suoi Tien park

The water park is located to the right of the entrance to Suoi Tien Park. The entrance to it is easy to recognize by the huge scary gray muzzle 🙂

We approached the water park after 4 pm, there was no point in going to it at that time. Therefore, they photographed him only through the fence. They say that there are not enough slides, that this water park will appeal to children more than adults.

Photo of the water park through the bars 🙂

Dolphinarium in Suoi Tien Park

The Dolphinarium is located near the attractions area. Performances are held 4-5 times a day. Here is the schedule of performances in the dolphinarium:

Ice palace (snow castle)

For those who miss cold winter, in Suoi Tien Park you can plunge into a snowy winter - ride an ice slide, lie in the snow 🙂

At the entrance you will be given rubber boots and jackets. The temperature inside is from -5 to -15. Quite zymno 🙂 There is something similar in.
