Plains biome. Biomes. Biomes in Minecraft

Biome is a set of ecosystems of a single natural and climatic zone. IN minecraft biomes are divided natural areas games after the Halloween Update. IN real life biomes have their own climatic and geographical conditions, their plants and animals; most often they are called ecosystems.

Biomes are represented here as separate zones of the landscape with different topography, vegetation and blocks that form the landscape. Before the update, the player had the opportunity to set certain features for the created map, for example, grass, or snow map. However, with the advent of biomes, all themes came together.

Save

All worlds that were created before the update will not be changed, or to be more precise, they will simply take on the appearance of a neutral biome. But if you leave the boundaries of the explored biome, you can stumble upon biomes that will be generated randomly.

Biome types

There are 10 biomes:

  1. - a biome with a huge number of lakes and trees. The trees in the jungle have a lot of leaves, unlike other biomes;
  2. Swamp is a biome with many small lakes. Also, it may contain reed;
  3. - a biome with many trees;
  4. Seasonal forest - in this biome, trees are generated a little less often than in the previous one;
  5. Savannah is a biome dominated by a flat landscape, trees are very rare in it. She also has a dull and dull color of grass;
  6. - is a snowy landscape with a small number of trees;
  7. Desert - the biome consists mainly of sand, sometimes there are cacti. There are no trees at all, since there is no land in the desert on which they could grow;
  8. Plain - very similar to the desert, but instead of sand, mud and grass are generated here. There are no trees, but sometimes a few trees can still be generated;
  9. The tundra is a snowy, barren landscape completely devoid of trees;
  10. - it is not officially recognized as a biome, but it has its own geographical features, only this makes it and does it. Very rarely, usually due to bugs, the Nether can spawn in the normal world. In this biome there are the most terrible creatures.

What is a biome? Biome- a set of ecosystems of one natural-climatic zone. In MineCraft, a biome is a separate natural area, with its own landscape, type of trees and blocks. They are generated by the game algorithm, but can be set specifically with grain game world. More details in the full news.

There are 12 biomes in total in MineCraft. They have their own ID:

21 - Jungle. A biome with lots of shrubs, foliage, and giant trees that have their own texture and color. A friendly mob can also spawn - ocelot. It drives away creepers with its presence if tamed. Can spawn natural structures such as Temple in the jungle.

6 - Swamp. Low-lying surface, with a large amount of muddy-dirty, green water. Under the trees from which the vines hang, spawn in abundance mushrooms. water lilies float on the water, natural structures are generated - witch's hut.

4 - Forest. Lots of birch and oak trees. Tall grass, flowers. Rarely spawns inside the Plains biome, as a tech sub-biome.

5 - Taiga. Hilly area covered with snow. Spruces grow in abundance, wolves spawn.

2 - Desert. A plain where cacti grow. Sometimes generated temples in the deserts, wells, or villages. Trees are missing because they don't grow on sand.

1 - Plain. Flat landscape covered with tall grass. Sometimes villages are generated, more often lakes. Lots of flowers and animals.

0 - Ocean. Huge biome entirely made up of water. The bottom, consisting of sand, clay or earth, there are canyons. The length is up to several thousand blocks, the depth is up to 30.

12 - Tundra. Snow plain. Occasionally there are trees, rivers and lakes completely covered with ice.

3 - Mountains. The usual mountainous terrain, a small amount of trees and grass. Meet emeralds.

14 - Mushroom Island. The only biome that mushrooms grow in the light, present Huge mushrooms, mushroom cows. The earth is covered mycelium.

8 - Hell. A biome that exists only in the Nether. Limited by bedrock at height 1 and 128, lava is at height 31. Infernal fortresses are generated, gasts, zombie pigmen, wither skeletons, lava cubes spawn. Lava flows better than in the normal world. This means that it spreads faster and farther.

9 - Sky. A biome located in the End. An island floating in the air, made entirely of endstone with pillars of obsidian.

Sub-biomes.

7 - River. A recess made entirely of water. The river meanders strongly, being a valuable source of clay.

11 - Frozen river. Appears only in Taiga. Covered in ice.

16 - Beach. Nuff said. Sand, sand, sand. And sandstone, yes.

15 - Shore of the mushroom island. mushroom biome. But flat.

10 - Frozen ocean. The ocean, only covered with a thick layer of ice. In 1 block. 🙂

17, 18, 19, 22 - Hills. Terrain modifier, there are desert, taiga, jungle, forest.

I hope you liked this article and the information was useful 🙂 I tried to write the most important information about biomes and reduce them to a single table in order to summarize and systematize all Biomes.

In this article, I will tell you about all the available biomes in Minecraft. So what are biomes? Biomes are natural and climatic zones into which the entire map in Minecraft is divided. Each biome is unique in its own way, and represents separate zones of the landscape with different topography.

So let's go in order...

A very large-scale, open biome, consisting entirely of water. At the bottom of the ocean, mountains and plains are often found, the bottom itself consists of clay and gravel. The depth of the ocean is capable of reaching 30 blocks, and the length is up to several thousand blocks. Sometimes in the ocean, small or large islands can be generated.

Relatively flat biome with bumpy terrain and a large number tall grass. Trees can also be generated, but very infrequently. A huge number of ravines and ponds, in addition, huge gorges can appear on the surface. The only one of the three biomes in which villages are generated. Horses can also spawn here.

This biome consists only of cacti, sand (sandstone), dry bushes. Sometimes there are sand wells, temples and characteristic sandy villages. Rarely, due to bugs, it is allowed to meet cacti up to 7 blocks in height.

Mountain biome, released not so long ago. Trees are generated, however infrequently. Here, more than other biomes, it is allowed to meet such magnificent structures as cliffs, arches, overhangs, waterfalls, floating islands. Here is the highest possibility of generating underground caves. Sometimes they don't meet very well. large lakes at sea level. Only in this biome is it allowed to meet emerald ore.

A biome with a huge number of oaks and/or birches, as well as a lot of tall grass.

Tundra with a considerable number coniferous trees and dark blue grass. Quite often, the taiga is generated as hilly. After update 1.7.2, there are 2 types of taiga: taiga without snow and the most rare cold taiga, where snow falls and water freezes.

A flat biome with many small lakes. Trees can grow in lakes, a huge number of mushrooms (mostly coffee) grow under them, and vines grow on foliage. In addition, it is allowed to find a reed. The water is of a grayish tone, water lilies float on its surface. There may be a considerable amount of clay in front of the water. The Witch's hut is also generated.

single biome Nether. At heights 1 and 128 it is limited by bedrock. The ocean of lava is located at Hill 31. In addition, lava flows faster and farther than in the ordinary world. Only here do gasts, lava cubes, ifrits, wither skeletons and zombie pigmen spawn. Infernal fortresses are generated in this biome.

The only biome of the End. It involves a low, limited area of End stone in the middle of a void with obsidian pillars. Only Ender travelers, Ender silverfish, and the only Ender dragon spawn here. A very interesting biome, the meaning of which is to kill the Dragon.

A snow-covered empty area with almost no trees, the surface of rivers and lakes in this biome consists of ice.

mushroom island

A biome that most often spawns on a peninsula in the ocean. The earth in it is covered with mycelium. A very unique biome in which the Mushroom Cow will live.

A biome in which tropical trees grow and their giant variants - baobabs. They have a lot of foliage and vines, unlike other biomes, in addition, ferns grow in this biome. The biome is hilly, there are mountains. In addition, in this biome it is allowed to find a temple. In tropical thickets, aggressive mobs spawn little, as there is a lot of foliage here, so spawning is not feasible.

The mountain biome is characterized by a very uneven terrain. A lot of high, almost sheer cliffs are generated here.

Sometimes one or more sides of the cliff are almost flat, which makes it possible to climb them simply by jumping over the blocks. But sometimes you can reach the top and go down only with a pickaxe with a sufficient margin of safety.

In mountain biomes, you can see amazing structures - arches and grottoes, waterfalls and lava falls, which can become not only a decoration for your home, but also an excellent guide. It is in this biome that you can find flying islands. At the foot of the mountains there are often small lakes, comfortably fenced off from the world by cliffs. Octopuses can even be found in lakes, and catching fish in them will not be difficult at all.

Deposits of coal and iron often come to the surface of the cliffs, and deep caves can be found inside the mountains, extending to the adminium itself. Mountain biomes often feature open caverns that can be explored for minerals without spending time punching mines. The main thing is to take plenty of torches and durable - such caves are usually full of zombies. For miners who wish to establish contact with local residents, the mountain biome is very important, because emerald ore is found only here.

The mountains are mostly covered with a small layer of earth and grass. Sometimes you can find whole areas of bare cobblestone and lava lakes located on it. Trees don't generate much, but usually enough to craft necessary tools. Also here in a small amount are flowers and peaceful mobs, though less than on the plain or in the forest. Perhaps this is due to the fact that they fall off the rocks and break.

The mountain biome is well suited for building a house. If you make an entrance in a steep cliff not high above the ground, then it will be difficult for monsters to get into your house, and at night you can explore the caves lying at the foot of the mountain and improve them to your liking.

You should not place a house on the top of the mountain, although it is easier to protect it from mobs there. But then too much time will have to be spent on campaigns for resources. Unless, of course, you have industrial craft 2 and you are not going to install a generator.

On the mountain it is convenient to arrange a beacon from lavafall or a burning hellish stone, it will be visible from afar.
The inconvenience of the mountain biome is that there is a lot of shade on its territory, in which mobs spawn even during the day. It is not easy to escape from them because of the difficult terrain. The mountain biome makes it difficult to farm and it is difficult to fence off the necessary territory on it, because mobs can easily jump on your head from some cliff.

By the way, while I'm playing Minecraft, my sister gets me, but I open a site on my laptop where all free games only for girls and let her play on the site gamergirl.ru. Yes, and sometimes I play interesting flash games on this site. I recommend.

Biome - a set of ecosystems of one natural-climatic zone (see more details on Wikipedia). Biomes in real life have their geographical and climatic conditions, their plants and endemic animals; most often they are called ecosystems.
In Minecraft, biomes are natural areas that minecraft world was split after the Halloween Update. Biomes are separate zones of the landscape with different terrain, plants and blocks that make up the landscape. Before the update, the user could set features for the created map, for example, a snow or grass map, but with the advent of biomes, all this was combined.

Worlds created before the update will not change in any way - or to be more precise, they will take on the appearance of a neutral biome. But if you go beyond the explored area, you can find biomes that will be randomly generated.

There are 12 biomes

ID:23 - Jungle. Biome with lots of trees and giant trees. They have a lot of foliage and vines, unlike other biomes, ferns also grow in this biome. The biome is hilly, there are mountains. Crown tropical tree growing on a hill - the highest natural point in the game. Also in this biome lives a friendly mob ocelot, the first one capable of sprinting. It is also only in this biome that the jungle temple can be found.

ID:6 , Swamp (Swampland). A flat biome with many small lakes. Trees can grow in lakes, many mushrooms (mostly brown) grow under them, and vines grow on foliage. You can also find reeds. Water gray color, water lilies float on the surface of the water, which can be collected with any tool. Under water, there can be a large amount of clay, from which bricks can later be made. You can also find a witch's hut.

ID:4 Forest. A biome with lots of oak and/or birch trees, as well as a fair amount of tall grass. Can sometimes spawn as a tech biome inside a plains biome.

ID:5 Taiga. Snowy landscape with many coniferous trees and gray-blue grass. Since version 1.8 Beta, wolves now appear much more often in the taiga. In version 1.1, a bug that appeared in 1.8 Beta was fixed, due to which there was no snow and ice in the taiga. Very often the taiga is generated as hilly.

ID:2 Desert. The biome consists of sand, cacti, and dry bushes. There are no trees, because no earth is found in the desert. Sometimes there are lava lakes. Missing weather precipitation. Missing water lakes Sometimes there are sand wells, temples and characteristic sand villages. Occasionally, due to bugs, you can find cacti up to seven blocks in height.

ID:1 Plains. Relatively flat biome with hilly terrain and lots of tall grass (more than any other biome). Trees can be generated, but very rarely. A large number of ravines and ponds, a canyon can also come to the surface. One of the two biomes in which villages are generated (the other is the desert).

ID:0 Ocean. A very large, open biome composed entirely of water. Mountains and plains can be found at the bottom, the bottom itself consists of clay and sand, canyons can also be present. The depth of the ocean can reach up to 30 blocks, and the length can be up to several thousand blocks. Sometimes islands can be generated in the sea as small versions of other biomes.

ID:12 Tundra (Ice Plains). A snowy, barren area with almost no trees, the rivers and lakes found in this biome are covered with ice.

ID:3 Mountains (Extreme Hills). A mountain biome introduced in 1.8 Beta (before this update, mountains were found in all biomes). Trees are generated, but rarely. Here, more often than other biomes, you can find such picturesque structures as cliffs, arches, overhangs, waterfalls, flying islands. Here the highest probability of generating underground caves. Sometimes there are small lakes at sea level. Only in this biome can you find emerald ore.

ID:14 Mushroom Island. A biome that most often spawns on an island in the ocean. The ground on it is covered with mycelium. This is the only biome where Huge mushrooms grow, and where mushrooms grow at daylight. Only mushroom cows spawn naturally in this landscape. This rule applies to both biome caves and player farming, however spawn eggs, mobs from the mob spawner, snow golems, and iron golems will spawn normally. Trees and other plants grow normally in this biome, however plants will "fall out" if the mycelium spreads to the blocks of land they are growing on. Grass looks bright in this biome.

ID:8 Hell. A single biome of the Nether. At heights 1 and 128 it is limited by bedrock. The ocean of lava is located at a height of 31. Lava also flows faster and farther than in the normal world. Only here ghasts, lava cubes, ifrits, wither skeletons and zombie pigmen spawn. Infernal fortresses are generated in this biome.

ID:9 Sky (Sky). A single biome of the End. It is a low, limited island of End stone in the middle of the void with pillars of obsidian. Only endermen and the only ender dragon spawn here. If you put this biome in the normal world, then the sky in this biome will be buggy.
