In general, I thought that everything would be very simple and did not bother myself with knitting a sample pattern and calculating the required number of loops. But in vain))).

I started by knitting a chain of air loops, the number of which is a multiple of the number of loops in the pattern repeat, in this case 10. That is, I typed 120 chain stitches, and attached this string to my daughter in the place where the T-shirt should end (from one side to another). And I started knitting according to the above pattern, without being distracted by anything.

When I knitted it to the beginning of the neckline, I looked at the resulting detail and was very surprised - it was so narrow that it didn’t fit half a T-shirt even for youngest daughter))). Even taking into account that the T-shirt will stretch, it’s still too small!

The thought of “loosening and bandaging” was immediately banished))). I was thinking about knitting the second half in the same narrow way, and sewing some lace stripes between them. But I didn’t complicate it and made it simpler: I crocheted the second half of the T-shirt wider (I gained 140 VP) and with armholes (see pattern):

The result was a crochet T-shirt like this. The first (narrow) piece will be at the back, so the side seams will also be located a little closer to the back. But in general, everything turned out very decently))). (But it’s better not to be lazy and do everything according to the rules, then there will be no unnecessary worries 🙂).

I would also like to say something about the neckline. To knit the entire front (or back) piece without breaking the thread or unnecessary knots, I did the following (see diagram 2).

First, I knitted the right strap, decreasing the loops, and after finishing it, I went down with arches (marked in diagram 2 green) to the bottom of the neck and tied the left side of the T-shirt. If the arches seem too big to you, make them smaller. In general, you should not strictly follow the descriptions. Create!

Having connected the 2 parts and completed the shoulder and side seams, all that remains is to crochet the summer T-shirt. As I already said, I only had yarn left for tying the neckline. Enough for 2 rows:
