Wedding capes for autumn. Cape for a wedding dress for autumn

Weddings are not only about summer time, but also in the fall. If the event is planned for the cool season, the bride should take care of the autumn ones; they will not only save you from colds, but can also become a beautiful addition to the entire outfit.

Autumn addition to a wedding dress

To create an image, the bride needs to pay special attention to all the details. You should carefully choose a dress, veil, shoes, makeup, accessories and hairstyle. And don’t forget that during a photo shoot in the city you can simply freeze and overshadow the joyful event for yourself and your loved ones.

Therefore, for the fall they are an ideal option to look elegant and original. This piece of clothing should not only be beautiful and harmoniously combined with the image, but also warm. The style of the cape is chosen according to the girl’s preferences. You can complement the outfit with a jacket, cape, or short fur coat. It can also be an original stole or a delicate shawl. Wedding capes for autumn are chosen depending on the weather, because the closer to winter the event is planned, the warmer the item will be required.

How to choose a cape

To create a spectacular image, you need to do a full fitting. That is, you can choose a cape that fits perfectly with an outfit only if you try it on with a wedding dress. It would be wise to pay attention to the suggestions of the salon employees. They can show not only wedding capes for the fall, but also coats, elegant raincoats and jackets that are in perfect harmony with the dress.

The bride may have ideas about renting a fur coat, but this should not be done. If expensive thing will be dirty, then thoughts about the cost of the product can ruin the whole holiday. In this case, a completely reasonable decision would be to purchase a cape made of faux fur. Nowadays such things are sewn very beautifully and elegantly.

Cape length, materials

Typically, brides prefer waist-length models. Therefore, it would be quite acceptable to decide to purchase a short fur coat with elbow-length or three-quarter sleeves. Well, if you plan to be outdoors for quite a long time, then capes for Wedding Dress For autumn you should choose something warmer. You can also buy an elongated fur coat with a hood.

The preferred materials are leather, suede, swan's down, felt, soft knitwear and others. Of course, fabrics influence the formation of the character of the entire image. To correctly combine the dress and cape, it is wise to listen to the recommendations:

  1. If the bride prefers a fur cape, then her image becomes elegant, chic, and looks expensive.
  2. When choosing a lace product, the bride shows femininity and her romantic mood. This cape looks perfect with a dress made of simple material and complements it.
  3. And if you choose a cape made of guipure, you will get a delicate and slightly guipure cape. At the same time, guipure goes well with a dress made of simple and opaque fabric.
  4. Capes made of dense materials are also suitable for lace. An excellent solution here would be brocade.
  5. But dresses made of flowing and non-textured material complement silk and romantic wedding capes for the fall. The photos show the variety of these accessories. The main thing in their choice is to give free rein to your imagination.

Item color

The shade of the cape is selected in two directions. It can be the same as the dress, or completely match the accessories. It should be understood that a cape that matches the color of the dress will not stand out. A similar accessory is chosen as a complementary and finishing touch.

A brightly colored cape that stands out against the background of the main outfit looks quite unusual. A crisp white dress goes perfectly with a red or blue cape. A beige outfit is complemented by a burgundy or purple accessory. These combinations are quite bold, so they are chosen by girls of the appropriate disposition.

A good solution is also to choose a cape that sets off the dress. In search of harmony for a white outfit, you should prefer a pink, blue, or lilac cape. And for the best option, choose accessories in coffee, brown and sand shades.

Making your own cape

Do not forget that it is not always possible to find a suitable product in salons. And if the bride knows how to sew well, then creating a suitable cape herself will not pose any problems for her. Also, a DIY wedding cape for autumn will help you save money on your outfit.

But, in principle, making it is not so difficult. To do this, you should purchase suitable fabric or fur. You can make the pattern yourself, as the product is quite simple to make. And decorate the finished item with ribbons, stones, feathers or other decorative elements.

Just remember that it is easy to put on and take off. Because the bride will not have time to manipulate numerous buttons and rivets. But it is the dress that represents the main part of the image.

Hello.
I would like to bring to your attention a master class on sewing I don’t even know what. Apparently this is a cape. Or a vest. Or even almost a poncho. Not really though. This thing turned out to be as practical as it is simple. In my opinion, even a person who has virtually no skills in this area can sew it. At most, you can spend three hours on this, provided that you have never sewn anything. If you have ever held a thread and a needle in your hands, then everything will work out much faster.
I would definitely like to point out that the idea does not belong to me. I'm only a performer. The product was invented by the MAX MARA brand. But I couldn’t resist repeating myself. I hope you understand me.
First of all, we need fabric. It is necessary to choose thin, soft, well-draped coat fabrics without a pronounced reverse side. That is, approximately the same from the face and back. The fabric will need 155 cm for a product with a belt or 140 cm if a belt is not needed. The width of the fabric must be at least 140 cm.

1

The product is almost dimensionless, in my opinion. But the recommended sizes are still 42-46 with a height of 170 cm. big sizes I haven’t tried on the product, but it looks a little bulky on smaller sizes and heights. But you can change the pattern a little, reducing its diameter and the diameter of the inner armholes, and everything will turn out great even for smaller sizes.
And so the pattern. All dimensions are in centimeters.

2

Before cutting, the fabric must be carefully ironed so that it shrinks as much as possible.

3

I was ordered two capes, and I used a paper pattern, or rather half of it, to speed up the cutting process. But if “mass” tailoring is not expected, then you can immediately draw on the fabric.

4

After cutting you should get something like this.

5

Theoretically, when certain circumstances, this could be the end of it. But I also had to sew the edges and sew the belt. If you purchased fabric that does not fray when cut, then the edges can be left untreated. If you do not have an overlocker or a suitable stitch on it, then the edge of the product can be folded twice and stitched, for example, 0.5 cm from the edge. You can also edge it with something or even tie it with something.

6

After overcasting the edges and armholes of the product, you need to iron it if they have stretched a little.

7

8

We sew down the edges of the belt, leaving a small hole in the middle for turning it inside out.

9

10

We turn it inside out and sew the hole by hand.

11

All. The mega-product is ready. We wear and enjoy

15

If you have some intelligence, you can add sleeves to the product. To do this, you need to slightly widen the back (the distance between the floodplains) and reduce the armhole itself in accordance with the desired width of the sleeve and the length of its edge. The width of the back and sleeves will depend on the size of your figure.
Thanks to everyone who read to the end.
Special thanks to those who try to sew.
