How to make Zebra pie? Below are several options.

Option #1

Can be cooked tasty pie on sour cream. Here is a list of ingredients you will need:

  • two glasses of flour;
  • 1 glass of sour cream;
  • three tablespoons of cocoa;
  • a glass of sugar;
  • three eggs;
  • about 50 grams of butter;
  • ½ teaspoon of soda.

For the glaze:

  • two tablespoons of sugar;
  • two tablespoons of milk;
  • three tablespoons of cocoa powder;
  • 40-50 grams of butter.

Basic preparation steps

  1. First you need to beat the eggs and sugar well. After whipping, you should get a light foam.
  2. Then add sour cream to the egg mixture, beat everything again, but at low mixer speed.
  3. Now add softened (but not melted) butter, beat everything again.
  4. Gradually add flour, continuing to beat the mixture.
  5. Extinguish the soda with boiling water and add it to the mixture, whisk it again. By consistency ready dough should resemble fairly thick sour cream.
  6. Divide the dough into two equal parts. Add cocoa to one of them, mix everything thoroughly.
  7. Now prepare the baking pan and grease it with oil.
  8. Then proceed to the most interesting part - shaping the future pie. To make it striped like a zebra, you need to lay out light and dark dough alternately. So first place two or three tablespoons of light dough in the center of the mold, then the same amount of dark dough. Lay out the dough, alternating it until you have used the entire volume.
  9. Place the mold in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 40 minutes.
  10. Now you can start preparing the glaze. First, mix milk and sugar and heat the mixture on the stove until the sugar is completely dissolved. Now add cocoa. Remove the mixture from the heat and add butter. Beat everything thoroughly with a mixer and start greasing the cake.
  11. Once the glaze has hardened, you can serve the cake. This is delicious!

Option No. 2


Kefir pie will be no less tasty and more dietary. Ingredients:

  • 1 glass of kefir;
  • three eggs;
  • a glass of sugar;
  • 100 grams of butter or margarine;
  • a teaspoon of soda;
  • 1 packet of vanillin;
  • two glasses of flour;
  • 3-4 tablespoons of cocoa.

Cooking method:

  1. Extinguish the soda with boiling water and immediately add it to the kefir so that it begins to bubble.
  2. Mix eggs with melted butter and sugar, beat everything well.
  3. Mix the egg mixture with kefir, beat everything again.
  4. Now start adding flour without stopping the beating process, but selecting the minimum speed.
  5. Divide the finished dough into two parts, add cocoa to one.
  6. Place the dark and light dough alternately into a greased baking pan.
  7. Bake the pie at 160-170 degrees for about an hour.

Zebra pie can be prepared in a slow cooker. To do this you will need:

  • about 200 grams of sour cream;
  • 2 eggs;
  • 100 grams of butter;
  • two glasses of flour;
  • about one glass of sugar;
  • 3-5 tablespoons cocoa;
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda or baking powder (baking powder).

Preparation:

  1. First, grate the butter (leave a piece for greasing the multicooker bowl) on a grater and mix it with sugar.
  2. Add eggs, beat the mixture thoroughly.
  3. Quench the soda with boiling water or vinegar, mix with sour cream and add it to the rest of the ingredients, mix everything thoroughly.
  4. Add flour to the mixture and beat everything with a mixer at medium speed.
  5. Divide the dough into two equal parts, add cocoa to one of them, stir it well.
  6. Grease the multicooker bowl with oil, start laying out the dough (one at a time).

A simple pie can be prepared in the microwave. List of ingredients:

  • 150 grams of flour (this is about one glass);
  • 1 cup of sugar;
  • 7 eggs;
  • 50 grams of butter;
  • 100 ml milk;
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa;
  • ½ teaspoon of soda.

Preparation:

  1. First, break all the eggs into a bowl, add sugar and beat everything thoroughly. Don’t be surprised by this number of eggs; the texture of the finished dough depends on it. It will be tender and very airy, but only if the egg mixture is well beaten until foam forms.
  2. Add softened butter and milk to the mixture, beat everything again.
  3. Now extinguish the soda with boiling water and add it to the composition.
  4. Add flour. In this case, you need to mix the dough thoroughly or continue to beat it (but at minimum speed).
  5. The finished dough should be divided into two parts. Add cocoa to one of them and stir it so that there are no lumps left.
  6. Take a microwave-safe container (glass is best) and generously grease it with oil. Alternately pour in light and dark batter until everything is finished.
  7. Place the container in the microwave. Cooking time will depend on the power of the oven. To avoid drying out the pie, take it out periodically (but not too often, otherwise the dough will not be airy) and check.
  8. The finished pie can be sprinkled with powdered sugar. Bon appetit!

  2. Watch the consistency of the dough, it is important. If the dough is too liquid, then the light and dark ones will simply mix together, and the finished pie will not be as beautiful. If the dough is too thick, it will be quite difficult to spread it.

  5. The color of the dark part can be made more saturated by increasing the volume of cocoa. So if you think the dough is not dark enough, just add more cocoa.
  6. It is best to use cocoa in powder form rather than granulated, as the latter is less soluble.
  7. To prevent the dark and light dough from mixing, cool them in the refrigerator before shaping the pie.

  • 200 g margarine
  • 200 g granulated sugar
  • 200 g sour cream (15 or 20%)
  • 2 cups flour (cup volume – 200ml)
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons Golden Label cocoa
  • Vanillin packet

Zebra cake - recipe:

1. Pour sour cream into a bowl, add soda, mix and leave. The sour cream will increase in volume - keep this in mind when choosing a bowl.

2. Melt margarine in a saucepan and dissolve sugar in it. When it cools down a little, take a mixer and start beating this mass, adding eggs one at a time. If the egg is mixed, break the next one there, etc.

3. Pour sour cream into the dough and continue whisking.

4. Gradually add flour and vanillin and mix the dough until smooth.

5. Pour half of the dough into a separate bowl, add 2 tablespoons of cocoa there and mix.

In one bowl we got light dough, in the other we got dark dough.

Again we put a spoonful of white dough, then again a spoonful of dark dough and do this until the dough runs out. Remember the main thing: place each new spoon of dough strictly in the center of the mold - otherwise you will end up not with a striped zebra, but with a spotted giraffe.


Zebra cake is baked in a preheated oven at a temperature of 180-200’. We check readiness by piercing the cake with a match: if it comes out dry, the cake is ready.

Take it out onto a plate and fill it with chocolate glaze. How to make chocolate glaze? Very simple.

Chocolate glaze - recipe:

  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 5 teaspoons cocoa
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 10 g butter

Mix everything except the oil and bring to a boil over low heat. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly with a spoon. Add butter, remove from heat and quickly pour over cake before frosting hardens.   • sour cream - 400 g;

For the glaze:

  • milk - 300 ml;
  • chocolate - 100 g;

  • corn starch - 1 tablespoon.

For cream:

  • sour cream - 250 g;
  • sugar - 0.5 cups.

Recipe:

Combine eggs and sugar in a large bowl. Beat them with a mixer until the volume increases and the sugar dissolves.

Add sour cream to the mixture.

To make zebra pie especially tasty at home, you need to melt the butter and add it to the dough. If there are recipes where butter is whipped with sugar. But we found the option with melted butter more tasty.

Add flour mixed with baking powder, reserving 2 tablespoons. We'll need them later. Mix the dough well.

We divide it into two parts. We add the remaining two tablespoons of flour to one part, and 2 tablespoons of cocoa to the other. Now you have two doughs, the same density, but different color. You can begin to form the zebra.

Line a baking pan with parchment paper or grease it with butter. Place three tablespoons of white dough in the center. Place three tablespoons of brown dough in the center of the white dough.

When the dough reaches the edges of the mold, reduce the amount of dough by two spoons and finish with one. Place the cake in a preheated oven for 40 minutes at 200 degrees.

While the crust is baking, prepare the glaze. Melt the butter and heat the milk. Let's combine these two ingredients together. Place the mixture on low heat and add the broken chocolate. Keep it on the fire until it dissolves. You can use cocoa and sugar.

Pour some mixture into a separate bowl and add cornstarch. Mix well and pour into total weight. Keep it on low heat all the time, stirring until the glaze begins to thicken.

For the cream, beat sour cream with sugar.

The cake is ready. Let it cool and remove from the mold.

Cut the cake into two or three parts (optional).

Grease with sour cream.

Decorate the cake with icing.

  • five chicken eggs;
  • granulated sugar - one and a half glasses;
  • wheat flour - one and a half cups;
  • cocoa powder - two to three tablespoons;
  • one packet of vanillin.

  1. First you need to thoroughly beat all the eggs in a separate bowl until light foam forms. This is best done with a mixer, but a regular whisk will also work.
  2. After this, you need to slowly pour all the sugar into the resulting mass and mix well, and then beat again for ten to fifteen minutes.

  8. After this, select the “Baking” mode on the multicooker and prepare our zebra cake according to the recipe, at home in a multicooker, for 45 minutes.

Ingredients

  • sour cream 20% - 0.9 kg; (500 g for dough, 400 g for cream)
  • granulated sugar - 0.5 kg (350 g for dough and 150 g for cream);
  • 5 eggs;
  • wheat flour - 0.4 kg;
  • cocoa powder - two tablespoons;
  • one packet of vanillin;
  • chocolate for glaze.

Recipe, with step-by-step description:

  1. The first thing to do is grind the margarine together with sugar in a deep bowl using a tablespoon. Next, add the eggs and mix everything thoroughly with a mixer or a regular pastry whisk.
  2. At the very end, carefully add 500 g. sour cream, add vanillin and wheat flour. Mix the dough well until a homogeneous consistency is obtained and divide into two parts.
  3. Add cocoa to one of them and mix, but leave the other part in its original form.
  4. Alternately, using a tablespoon, pour our zebra dough into the baking dish: first a spoonful of white, then dark, etc. Next, we send our pie to an oven preheated to 180 degrees. Approximate baking time is 40-50 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare light sour cream. Take the remaining sour cream and sugar and beat with a mixer. You should get a thick mass.

  • 200 ml milk or kefir;
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa.

Preparation:

We prepare it in the same way as described in the recipes given above, the main thing is that the dough has a consistency similar to thick sour cream. If you make the dough thinner, the cake will be wet inside.

Chocolate Pie

You can make a Zebra pie with chocolate, it’s a little more difficult, but it will turn out to be especially tasty, although it’s not a pie, but a cake. Let's prepare a set of products, the same as described above in the first recipe, only a little more nuts. During cooking, add a little vanilla, cinnamon and cognac or rum to the dough - this will give the cake an exquisite taste. Add half the amount of nuts to the dough - use the rest later. We do everything according to the method described above. Grate the chocolate bar on a coarse grater and melt it in a water bath. Brush the finished Zebra pie with melted chocolate, sprinkle with ground nuts, pour chocolate on top and sprinkle with nuts again. Thus, the Zebra pie turns into a very tasty and attractive-looking cake, which can be served at the holiday table.

Using a mixer or whisk, beat the eggs with the second half of the sugar (180g) until white foam forms. Beat the eggs until white foam with a mixer in about 1 minute.


Combine beaten eggs with sugar and butter. Mix well to combine the butter with the eggs.

In a separate bowl, combine sour cream (200g), soda (1/3 teaspoon) and baking powder (1 teaspoon), mix everything well.

Add sour cream, soda and baking powder into the main dough, mix well.

Add sifted wheat flour (250g). Stir the dough until the flour is completely dissolved.

Place the baking dish with the dough in an oven preheated to 170 - 180 degrees. Bake the zebra cake crust for about 40 - 50 minutes. After 40 minutes, you can check the readiness of the cake. To do this, pierce the cake with a toothpick to the very bottom. If the toothpick is dry, the cake is ready, you can remove it from the oven. If the toothpick is wet, leave the cake in the oven for another 5 minutes. Remove the finished cake from the oven and let it cool. Remove the crust from the baking pan.

Cut the cake into 2 or 3 layers.
