Update 9.20.1 is getting closer to its official release and we're starting to new series general tests. Participate in testing and evaluate the changes that developers worked on in Lately. Here's what will be available on the public test server:

How to get to the general test?

Bonuses and medals

From 9.20.1, when winning medals in the “Epic Achievements” and “Battle Hero” categories, the player will receive additional encouragement in the form of bonds. Please note: coupons will not be awarded for cumulative medals. The number of bonds is not final and may change.

Improvements for pitched battles

The following changes have been made to the “General Battle” battle type:

  1. The message about victory or defeat in battle has changed.
    Added the new kind messages about victory or defeat in battle, so that players can more easily understand when and why the battle ended. The message has separate animations for winning, losing and drawing. Additional text shows why the fight ended. When a battle ends when a base is captured, the capture progress bar goes into a "locked" state shortly before a message appears to indicate that the outcome will not change.

Improvements for Training Ground mode

Changes:

  • Irrelevant options have been disabled in the context menus of vehicle upgrade windows, the research tree, and the vehicle carousel.

Tanks swear that you either do not have the Internet, or the client for some reason cannot find a connection to the game server. That is, you launched the client, which in turn tries to go online and search for its server at a pre-known IP address, but the server does not respond to it and accordingly an error message is displayed. In order for the message “Unable to establish a network connection in WoT” to no longer appear, it is necessary that some ports are open in the firewall for the launcher and the game client, here they are:

For WorldOfTanks.exe:
— UDP ranges from 32 800 to 32 900, from 20 010 to 20 020 and UDP port 53;
— TCP ports 80, 443.

For voice chat to work, it is also necessary for WorldOfTanks.exe to open the UDP range from 12,000 to 29,999 and ports 5060, 5062, 3478, 3479, 3432, 30443.
For text chat to work, WorldOfTanks.exe must open TCP ports 5222 and 5223.

In addition, you can allow WorldOfTanks.exe to use the UDP protocol and the TCP protocol on any ports in both directions, thus allowing the firewall to pass any packets to any addresses for the game client.

How to take part in testing
DOWNLOAD THE SPECIAL INSTALLER
Run the installer, which will download and install the test version of the client 1.0.1 (10 GB for the SD version and an additional 7 GB for the HD version). When you run the installer, it will automatically offer to install the test client in a separate folder on your computer; You can also specify the installation directory yourself.
If you have the previous test version (1.0) installed, then when you launch the general test launcher it will be updated: 1.01 GB for the SD version and an additional 430 MB for the HD version.
Please note: Installing in a folder containing legacy test client files may cause technical problems.
Run the installed test version.
Only those players who registered in World of Tanks before 23:59 (Moscow time) on April 7, 2018 can take part in the test.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Due to the large number of players on the test server, there is a restriction on user entry. All new players who want to take part in testing the update will be placed in a queue and will be able to log onto the server as it becomes available.
If the user changed the password after 23:59 (Moscow time) on April 7, 2018, authorization on the test server will only be available using the password that was used before the specified time.

Peculiarities
Payments are not made to the test server.
In this testing, earnings of experience and credits do not increase.
Achievements on the test server will not transfer to the main server.

Test server in the game World of Tanks 1.7.1 is a regular server where new maps, features, tanks and other innovations of the game are tested. It is impossible to get to the WOT test server when the player wants it - it opens only at a certain time, when the game developers need it.
