Do-it-yourself green knitted swimsuit - fashionable and stylish!

Naturally, every girl dreams of becoming the happy owner of an exclusive item. The heat has come, the season of beaches and trips out of town has opened. The most relevant item of clothing at this time is a swimsuit. I propose not to be a gray mouse and stand out from the crowd! Knitted swimsuit - what you need this summer!

Before you start knitting, you need to decide on the composition of the threads.

Yarn quantity:

  • 1 skein (50 gr. = 90 m) of green yarn.
  • The work will use hook No. 1.5 and No. 1.9.

Other materials:

  • Ribbons of green

List of abbreviations:

  1. air loop - vp
  2. double crochet - sn
  3. single crochet - sc

Stages of work:

In this work, cotton with stretch from the Turkish company "Diva" was used. In principle, this option is not the only possible one. Some prefer 100% cotton, others knit generally from thin acrylic.

Depending on the thickness of the thread and the individual density of knitting, select the tool. In this master class, the bodice of the swimsuit is crocheted No. 1.5, and the swimming trunks - No. 1.9.

Knitting bodice

1. Traditionally, work begins with simpler elements. Dial 20 ch and from 3 loops start knitting SN in each ch. Please note that in 20 ch you need to knit 3 dc, 1 ch, 3 dc. Next, perform sn, tying the “pigtail” on the other side. All subsequent rows are rotary.

2. Work according to the scheme to the desired volume of the cup.

3. In general, at this stage, you can finish. But you can decorate the bodice with a “mesh”: ss, ch, ss, ch. The lower part - psn. So knit one circle and perform the final tying of the finished cup of the p.s.n. The second part is done in a similar way. Make sure the bodice is as symmetrical as possible!

Knitting swimming trunks (Scheme of melting top, base)

1. Swimming trunks need to be knitted from the bottom up. We dial 20 ch, we do the first d in the 3rd loop. For the front of the trunks, knit 7-8 turning rows without changing the size of the fabric. The number of rows is a very approximate parameter. It depends on the size of the clothes you wear. As a basis, you can take your usual underwear and constantly apply the product to it while knitting.

This method will help determine the right direction of movement and will not allow you to go astray. Increases are made in this way: at the beginning of each row, you need to perform 4 ch lifts and knit the first dc in the first lifting loop. Continue knitting until half of the part is ready (about 18 rows).

3. When you get a truncated triangle of the right size, start knitting the sidewalls. To do this, without tearing off the thread, at the beginning of the row, instead of 4 ch, make 25 ch. After the beginning of the row, count 22 ch, and start knitting from it. When you reach the end of the fabric, break the thread. Knit ch 25 and connect the "pigtail" with a broken thread. Climb up and continue the pattern.

4. Make a few more rows and complete the front of the bottoms.

5. The back part is knitted in almost the same way. The difference is only in the amount of straight canvas at the beginning of work. In this master class, 2 rows are connected in this way.

6. Connect the details of the swimming trunks and complete the piping of sn.

Harnesses and decorative elements

1. A fully knitted swimsuit feels a bit heavy. Therefore, lighten it with satin ribbons. Decide on the desired length of the harness, which is located around the neck. Measure and sew it, slightly gathering with a needle, to the tops of the bodice. The ties are attached in the same way.

Small bows made of ribbons of the same shade, but of a smaller width, will perfectly complement the finished set!
